Professor of Marketing at Universidad de Oviedo. Got his PhD in Business and Economy at Universidad de Oviedo (1985). In 1992 he became a Full Professor of Marketing at Universidad de Cantabria. From 1995 he is Professor at Marketing at Universidad de Oviedo.
His research includes Marketing, Service Quality, Commercial Distribution and Organizational Learning in distribution channels. He has participated and directed basic research programs as well as applied industry contracts both with public and private companies. From his research, several books on Marketing were published, from fields like Marketing, Market Research, Distribution Channels and Retailing Commercial Structures. He has presented his research in national and international journals such as Información Comercial Española, Revista Europea de Dirección y Economía de la Empresa, Revista Española de Investigación y Marketing, Cuadernos de Economía y Dirección de la Empresa, Journal of European Industrial Training, International Journal of Retail & Distribution Management, Journal of Marketing Channels, Industrial Marketing Managemen####European Journal of Marketing.
He has directed several courses and seminars. Served as an elected Director of the Department on Business Administration and Accounting at Universidad de Oviedo, Director of Instituto Universitario de Empresa and elected member of Junta de Gobierno at Universidad de Oviedo.
